Meet the IndieMe Academy Team

IndieMe Academy is led by people with firsthand experience in the handcrafted industry, artist business development, retail, and wholesale. Our curriculum and mentor guidance are practical, approachable, and grounded in the real decisions artists face as they prepare, sell, adjust, and grow.

Students in eligible Wholesale Path plans may be assigned a mentor for the period included with their plan. Retail Foundations and the Wholesale Starter Pass are self-guided. Start your Academy journey today.

Jacqueline Adamany

Founder, Curriculum Lead & Wholesale Educator

Focus: Curriculum development, wholesale foundations, pricing, buyer readiness, business growth, and higher-level student guidance

Jacqueline is a former handcrafted artist who sold her work both directly to customers and wholesale for more than a decade. She later joined the IndieMe team, gaining experience across the marketplace and handcrafted wholesale industry before purchasing IndieMe in 2020.

Jacqueline wrote a practical guide to help artists transition from retail to wholesale and has contributed to respected trade publications. That work eventually evolved into IndieMe Academy, where she develops the curriculum and teaches through lessons built around the real questions artists bring to the business.

As owner and president of IndieMe Marketplace, Jacqueline works with artists and qualified retail buyers across North America. She is also the founder and executive director of Shop American Handcrafted, a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on education, advocacy, visibility, and access to opportunity for American artists.

Jacqueline provides strategic oversight for IndieMe Academy and is available for student guidance and higher-level reviews as needed.

Beth MacDonald

Wholesale Business Mentor

Focus: Wholesale readiness, product lines, pricing, buyer materials, presentation, communication, fulfillment, and Marketplace preparation

Beth brings more than 15 years of experience supporting artists and the handcrafted wholesale community through IndieMe. As a former member of the IndieMe team, she understands the day-to-day opportunities and challenges artists face as they prepare their businesses for wholesale.

Beth supports Wholesale Path students across every stage of the curriculum. She helps artists evaluate where they are now, understand what buyers need, strengthen their presentation and business practices, and identify practical next steps.

Her mentoring style is grounded, encouraging, and informed by years of working directly with artists, retailers, and the IndieMe Marketplace.

Jessica Adamany

Artist & Academy Mentor

Focus: Marketing, brand storytelling, content, presentation, customer connection, and practical progress

Jessica brings both creative experience and a thoughtful, people-centered approach to IndieMe Academy. As an artist who continues to create and sell her work, she understands the challenge of balancing the making with the many business decisions that happen behind the scenes.

As an assigned Academy mentor, Jessica helps artists communicate the value of their work, strengthen their presentation, approach marketing more intentionally, and keep moving through the practical steps required to build a stronger business.

Her guidance combines encouragement with useful feedback, helping students make progress without losing the individual voice behind their work.
